This product is a topup to your Shoprite South Africa XtraSavings card, much like how you would topup your phone with prepaid airtime.

Works at physical stores: Shoprite, Checkers, Checkers Hyper, Usave, FoodWorld

Also pay bills such as:

- DSTV

- Municipal bills, eg Ekurhuleni, eThekwini, Bitou, Mossel Bay

- Nedbank insurance & home loans

Does not work for Checkers60

When you purchase, you will get an sms describing how to access the voucher. Funds are applied to your Money Market account which you can use for many different services.

How to Pay in-store

Pay with your physical XtraSavings card:

• Link your XtraSavings card to your phone number (if you have a physical card, it's likely already linked)
• Swipe once to obtain your discounts
• Swipe your card again and select 'voucher account' to pay by putting your pin into the keypad on the Point of Sale.

Pay with your phone:

• Open your preferred way of accessing your Money Market Account (Shoprite app, WhatsApp or USSD)
• Select “Pay in-store”
• Then follow the prompts on your phone, use the 8 digit code to pay on the keypad

How to register with Shoprite Money Market

Use Whatsapp, USSD or the Shoprite App in the app store by following the options below:

• Download the Shoprite app from your app store
• Dial 1203534#
• Add Shoprite or Checkers as a contact on WhatsApp:
  • Shoprite: 087 240 5709
  • Checkers: 087 240 5385

How to pay a bill

Shoprite works with Pay@ to settle bills, you need to find your 7 digit Pay@ reference.

On the list of bill payment options, find the 'Biller Prefix', this is a 5 digit number. Add the prefix to your account reference to make a 12 digit code.

In the Shoprite App, go to "Pay My Accounts" and insert the 12 digit code to complete your transaction
