Freedom Mobile says you need enough top-up credit on the account to pay for your rate plan and any additional add-ons associated with it. The balance has to cover them on your due date, or the service is suspended temporarily. The balance also has to cover pay-per-use charges and, where it applies, the 911 levy.

Freedom Mobile sets the prepaid due date from the date your service was originally activated, and assigns the billing cycle at activation. Freedom says it is unable to change your billing cycle or top up date.

Freedom Mobile sends a text message when it is time to pay. Topping up before your due date helps avoid any service interruptions.

If you forget to top up, Freedom suspends your data and outbound services, incoming calls and text messages still work, and any unused top-up balance in your account is put on hold. If you still do not top up, all remaining services become disabled and you are at risk of losing your phone number and forfeiting any unused top-up balance. Freedom reserves your phone number for 90 days after the service is suspended, and after that reserves the right to deactivate and re-use it.
