Airtel states that your validity recharge includes tax while talktime excludes it, which is why a top-up credits less than its face value. Airtel publishes 7.47 rupees of talktime for a 10 rupee top-up, 423.73 for 500 and 847.46 for 1,000.
Airtel directs customers to the Airtel Thanks app to check an Airtel prepaid number's balance and validity. The recharge section in the app shows your active plan, validity and data balance.
Airtel states the connection will be deactivated at its discretion if there is no call, outgoing SMS, data session or value-added service use for a continuous period of 90 days and the main account balance is below 20 rupees. On deactivation all account balances are forfeited, and a grace period of 15 days follows in which the number can be retained by paying a fee.
