Vi states that the top-up balance is added on top of the amount in your main account, and credits less than the face value as talktime. In the Maharashtra and Goa circle Vi publishes 7.47 rupees of talktime for a 10 rupee top-up, 81.75 for 100 and 423.73 for 500.

Vi states that the talktime validity for its top-up plans is unrestricted, so a top-up added to an existing prepaid plan stays in your account until consumed. The top-up vouchers themselves are labelled as carrying no service validity, and Vi adds that depending on the talktime pack you choose, you might get a service validity included.
