Crypto.com Trading, Deposit, & Withdrawal Fees

Crypto.com is the easiest way to buy, sell and spend cryptocurrencies. The company has also opened a cryptocurrency trading platform where you can trade multiple cryptocurrencies against the USD. Today we’ll be taking a look at what kind of fees you can expect to pay when trading on the platform.

Fees To Be Aware Of When Trading On Crypto.com

Recently, Crypto.com announced some changes to their trading fees and limits. We have since reviewed the new fee structure and we’ll be covering the different fees that you need to keep in mind when you are trading on the Crypto.com platform.

Crypto.com’s Perpetual, Futures and Warrant Contracts all have derivatives maker / taker fee rates. However, the more you trade, the less you pay due to their volume-based trading fee structure. Plus, if you stake CRO, you'll get even more trading benefits and daily CRO payouts.

Maker & Taker Fees

When it comes to trading fees, there are two types of users - takers and makers.

Takers are users who make trades from existing orders, essentially taking volume off the order book. In contrast, maker trades happen when a user creates an order that remains on the order book for some time.

These trades add volume to the order book and help to "make" the market. In general, makers are rewarded with lower trading fees for their role in creating liquidity.

Exchange Trading Fees

The Crypto.com exchange has a tiered fee structure, which means that the fees you pay for your trades are based on how much volume you trade. In other words, the more you trade, the lower your fees will be. It's like a loyalty program of sorts. The table below shows the exact fee rates depending on your trading volume.

Discount For Staking CRO & Using CRO To Pay Fees

Users can stake CRO (the native Crypto.com currency) to gain an immediate fee reduction. The more CRO users stake, the more trading fee benefits they unlock. For example, users who stake at least 100,000 CRO can get paid to trade through negative maker fees across all tiers.

Important Info About Trading Fees

  • To enjoy these exclusive trading fee benefits, you must stake CRO on the Crypto.com Exchange.
  • Discounted fees, 0% maker fees, and maker fee rebates in the form of trading fee benefits are granted depending on the amount of CRO staked.
  • Trading fee rates are updated on User accounts every 1-hour following evaluation of Users' Trading Volume, Maker Activity and amount of CRO staked.
  • If a Forced Liquidation occurs, an additional liquidation fee of 0.5% will be charged.
  • Crypto.com reserves the right to amend trading fees and benefits from time to time.

Fees For Purchasing Crypto

Traders may be charged admin fees on the Crypto.com exchange, depending on the market. The admin fee will be displayed on a preview screen for verification before a transaction is submitted.

Crypto.com is also offering 0% fees for crypto purchases made with a credit or debit card for the first 30 days of registration. Users must live in an eligible jurisdiction and pass the exchange’s know-your-customer verification.

Withdrawal Fees

When withdrawing funds from the Crypto.com exchange to an external address, you will need to pay a small transaction fee - as is the case with any other blockchain transaction. The fee isn't charged by the exchange itself, but rather by the cryptocurrency you are transferring from Crypto.com.

The Importance Of Keeping Track Of Exchange Fees

With such high volume and free-range fees in the crypto markets, it's essential to know what to expect and have a solid strategy for entering and exiting cryptocurrency investments. This is the best way to preserve your capital.

This could be the difference between a profitable trader and one who is incurring a loss. Keep in mind that exchange fees do not include blockchain network fees like transaction fees paid to miners or validators.
